Sunday 5th July 2026 will forever be a day to remember!
Mwaba Mwila Adventures just marked 6 years of Mount Mumpu expeditions with our 10th SUCCESSFUL SUMMIT — and what a summit it was!
A gruelling 12-hour push over tough, beautiful terrain in the North Swaka Protected Forest Area. Up Zambia’s tallest free-standing mountain at nearly 2,000m, down again with sore legs and full hearts.
This wasn’t just a hike, it was a homecoming:
• We wild-camped at the stunning Changwena Falls
• We walked history at the pre-independence Fort Elwes — both sitting right here with Mumpu in the same forest jewel box, all within eight kilometres of each other
• We rock-climbed by the waterfall, swam in the lush miombo air, and lived 4 glorious days with NO SIGNAL — just conversation, stars, and laughter.
Six years ago we started with a crazy idea: take Zambians to the top of their own backyard giant. Today, ten summits later, we have a family, not just a hiking group.
To every adventurer who has trusted us since 2020, to the guides, cooks, drivers, and the Mkushi communities who welcome us — THANK YOU. You made this milestone possible. To Team “Mumpu Breeze” thank you and well done.
