Mwaba Mwila Adventures Confirmed as Official Tented Accommodation Provider for Umutomboko 2026

Midlands Mutomboko Fundraising Dinner Dance a huge success

LUSAKA, Zambia – June 26, 2026 – Mwaba Mwila Adventures is pleased to announce its continued partnership to provide tented accommodation for this year’s Umutomboko Ceremony in Mwansabombwe, Luapula Province.

The ongoing partnership was recognised by His Royal Highness Mwata Kazembe. In a speech delivered on his behalf at last year’s ceremony by National Mutomboko Organising Committee Chairman General, Mr. Anthony Makuwa, Mwata Kazembe said: “On behalf of the Lunda People, I would like to thank Mwaba Mwila Adventures for the continued partnership, providing visitors to the Mutomboko Ceremony with supplementary accommodation space through tented camping accommodation. As you may know accommodation is always in high demand during the Mutomboko period. Please keep it up.”

The announcement follows a hugely successful Midlands Mutomboko Fundraising Dinner Dance in Lusaka. Mwaba Mwila Adventures showcased its full tented accommodation on site at the fundraiser, giving attendees a chance to experience it in person.Vice President Mutale Nalumango was in attendance at the fundraiser.

Speaking at the dinner, she called for the preservation of local languages and traditional ceremonies to promote Zambia’s cultural identity among young people.

Mwaba Mwila Adventures was represented at the fundraiser by Operations Director Walusungu Chioni and CEO Mwaba Mwila.Bookings for Mutomboko tented accommodation are now open. Tented accommodation packages in Dikulushi include camp tents, mattresses and bedding, with full camp support throughout the ceremony weekend. Limited tents are available.

The Mutomboko Traditional Ceremony will take place on July 25, 2026, in Mwansabombwe District, Luapula Province.
