
Fulamponje View Hike & Rock Climb Weekend
Join an action-packed getaway in the Fulampomje Community Forest, Rufunsa District. The adventure begins with a 3-hour travel to Chikwenya Camp, an eco-tourism campsite promoting responsible and sustainable tourism. Day 2 takes you on a thrilling 15km Fulampoje Hill Hike, led by trained community guides, offering spectacular views of the Lower Zambezi Escarpment.
The excitement continues on Day 3 with a Rock Climbing Day, followed by a return to Lusaka on Day 4. By supporting this community-led initiative, you’ll be contributing to the conservation of the Fulampomje Community Forest and the empowerment of the local community. Get ready for breathtaking views, thrilling rock climbing, and an unforgettable experience!

Tour Name: 15km Fulamponje View Hike & Rock Climb
Location: Chikwenya Campsite, Fulamponje Community Forest, Mpanshya, Rufunsa District
Hiking Duration: 8 hrs.
Terrain: Challenging terrain with uneven ground, rocky outcrops, steep inclines, and descents. Demanding hike requiring good physical fitness and endurance.

Before embarking on your adventure with Mwaba Mwila Adventures, please ensure you have:
Active medical insurance: Crucial in the event of an emergency.
On our hikes, a qualified first aider will be present to provide immediate assistance.
In the unlikely event of a more severe incident requiring evacuation, please note that:
Evacuation logistics and costs are your responsibility. We will assist with the process, but you must organise and cover any further treatment expenses.
Mobile Signal
Please be aware that the mobile signal in the area is patchy and may be nonexistent in some places along the route. There is no signal at camp
Meals
A basic packed lunch will be provided for the hike. Breakfast and supper will be served in camp. Please bring extra snacks to keep you energised throughout the camp.
Packing
For a comfortable and enjoyable hiking experience, please pack your belongings in two separate bags:
Base Camp Bag:
Pack personal belongings for your stay at Base Camp, including clothing, toiletries, and other personal items.
Day Bag: Pack essentials for the day’s hike, such as snacks, water, and sunscreen.

Please be at Manda Hill Puma filling station by 11:30. The start-off time is 12 hours sharp!
